Who We Are

Para & Adaptive rowing at CRI supports and propels individuals of all ages with physical, sensory, and intellectual challenges. Many beginners continue rowing as a lifelong activity that benefits mental and physical health. Rowers have access to custom fabricated equipment, dedicated coaches, and a world-class facility. For more information, visit https://communityrowing.org/para/.

Military rowing at CRI provides opportunities for physical challenges, discipline, and camaraderie. Rowing is a natural fit for veterans and military personnel; individuals can relieve stress related to everyday life or compete in national regattas. Our program is co-ed and open to veterans, active duty service members, and their families. For more information, visit https://communityrowing.org/military/.

What We Do

Our para rowing program is always looking for volunteers for its adult and youth classes. You can help assist with moving equipment and boats before and after classes to make sure that athletes gain optimal time on the water and in the gym. Experienced rowers are also needed to bow in doubles and steer.

Military rowing volunteers support program managers at outreach events with our many partners, like Brighton Marine, Home Base, and Veterans Affairs offices. You’ll help with moving equipment, sharing your passion for rowing, and encouraging individuals trying the sport for the first time.
