Who We Are

Let’s Row creates pathways to rowing for youth from under-resourced areas. The program partners with public middle schools and community organizations to cultivate accessibility and inclusion in our sport. The program consists of five aspects, provided at no-cost to schools and students, which include middle school visits with a four-week curriculum, field trips to the Harry Parker Boathouse, and racing at the annual indoor Let’s Row Championships. Youth of all abilities are encouraged to participate. For more information visit, https://communityrowing.org/lets-row/

Row Boston is the scholastic rowing team for high school students in Boston Public Schools. Student-athletes compete at the novice, JV, or varsity level, based on experience and commitment level. The team offers free transportation from Ruggles Station, nutritious snacks, and academic tutoring. Regattas are often paired with visits to colleges and universities in New England and the Tri-State Area. For more information visit, https://communityrowing.org/row-boston/.

What We Do

Let’s Row volunteers share their passion for rowing with young students and assist program managers and coaches. You’ll help set up and break down ergs and barges, organize life jackets and equipment, help youth gain confidence and comfort with rowing on the machine and the water, escort visiting classes through the boathouse for tours, and more.

Row Boston volunteers provide support for student-athletes in a number of ways. You can help with academic tutoring, traveling with the team for regattas and college visits, driving youth to and from practice at Ruggles Station, and more.
